Each year, United Way of the Plains organizes Youth Days of Caring, a week of volunteer projects for teens over spring break. Last year, 274 students tackled over 600 projects at 36 local nonprofit agencies. This year, projects range from landscaping and animal care to organizing donations and assembling mailings.
Youth Days of Caring provides an opportunity for students to learn new skills, practice their leadership abilities, work together in groups and make a lasting impact. It is a great opportunity for young people to feel the joy in helping others while meeting new friends and learning about our community. We encourage students to give back this spring break, March 11-15. Projects are available for middle school and high school students (minimum age 12, depending on the project). Students can register online HERE until Tuesday, March 5.
