Welcome to the fourth quarter! While none of us expected this drastic change to how school would look this last part of the year, we anticipate we will all rise to the challenge and make the most of it! Each of us will move forward with grace and flexibility as we learn to deal with our new situation. We need to make sure we are taking care of one another, supporting one another and helping one another through this unusual time in history. We would like to thank you in advance for all the hard work and effort you will give this new learning experience.
This week, the teachers will be learning how to convert their regular classrooms to a virtual classroom to teach and support you through the rest of the school year. All of the ACHS teachers have been learning about Zoom and Google Classroom plus a few other platforms to give you all the best learning opportunities possible in this situation. We will all support one another as we learn together. While it is not what we wanted or planned, it is an opportunity to step up and rise to the challenge.
We recognize there has been a loss for everyone. Loss of graduation, prom, sports, memories, etc. We are working hard to find new ways to celebrate accomplishments and still make this year feel special. It might look different, but we must celebrate the accomplishments of our students at ACHS.
You will be receiving a lot of information from your teachers and the building in the following weeks as we develop lessons and activities for the last quarter. Please be checking your school email DAILY. In addition, there will be times we ask for information and for you to complete tasks, please provide that information as quickly as possible. There will be times when we ask for you to share your thoughts and ideas as well. Expect to start school Tuesday, March 31st, an email will go out soon with additional information! It will be exciting and challenging; we are here to support you in not only your learning but also dealing with life as it is now.
Please contact us if you have any questions or if you need help in any way. Go Jags!
