Mission statement

The ACHS library media center strives to be the intellectual center of the Andover Central High School campus. The goal of the library is to implement, enrich, and support the educational programs of the school. We encourage students to take responsibility for learning to become effective users of information and to develop an appreciation for reading and libraries that will facilitate lifelong learning.

To this end, the ACHS Media Center:

• Develops collections to support the curriculum, enhance personal development and encourage pleasure in reading and learning
• Teaches and reinforces information literacy skills
• Provides access to global information
• Offers individual attention
