Congrats to these ACHS Tennis players on their sweep of the Wichita Classical School in their dual on Thursday. All players went 2-0 in their singles/doubles matches earning a 12-0 victory.

Whether returning players or new for 2019, should do the following:
1) Fill out this Google Form: HERE Before filling out this Google Form, sign into your school Gmail account
2) Inform parents of Spring Parent Meeting: immediately following the 7 PM 8th Grade Invitation and Signing Day Ceremony on Wed., April 17, in the ACHS Auditorium.

4) Plan to attend the Total Team Meeting on May 1st, 7:30 AM, at ACHS (Location T.B.A.)
Service Academy This is the time of year when highly qualified Juniors apply for a Service Academy nomination and an opportunity to receive a free, world-class education at one of the U.S. Service Academies: West Point (Army), Naval, Air Force, Merchant Marine, or Coast Guard.
We are proud to announce that a record number of 4th Congressional District students from the Class of 2019 will begin attending a service academy this summer. If interested in applying, please do so through the website HERE
WINTER SPORTS 2018/19 PATCHES Patches for Winter 2018/19 sports may be ordered at this time. Order forms are in the office and need to be completed and returned to Jenise Hurley by April 2nd along with payment. We will only order team patches. Individual patches may be ordered through Neffco HERE.
Prom Fundraiser: Charming Charlie accessories in Wichita is teaming up with ACHS Prom Committee to do a shopping party on March 26th from 7-9 pm at the location 2684 Greenwich Court location, (near the Wichita Sports Forum) Bogo 50% off accessory purchases with coupon (given out at school) and enter to win Charming Charlie's Best Prom Ever Contest for a $500 gift card or Limo for prom. 10% of sales will be contributed to the Prom 2019 budget.
ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS and GRANDPARENTS:
Class of 2019 Graduate Yard Signs are available for pre-order through April 3rd at a cost of only $20 per sign. They are a great way to show the world how proud you are of your graduate so don’t delay and order today! The signs are easy to set-up and made of a weather friendly material. The order form can be found HERE and returned, along with payment, to the ACHS office by April 3rd. Delivery information will be communicated once the sign order has been placed but is expected to be before the end of April.
Year Book Photo Requests:
The ACHS yearbook is looking for fun, unposed photos of students on Spring Break. Any activities are fine, just make sure the photo contains ACHS student/students and the photo is not posed. Send ASAP with caption info and who took the photo to : email@example.com
Please remember our district policy. If you child has a fever of 100 degrees or greater, or is vomiting, they need to stay home for 24 hours until after the fever subsides and/or vomiting has stopped without medication. If your child is sick, please call the main office to report it and do not send your child to school. If your child has been tested positive for influenza at the doctor's office, they must stay home for 7 days after the start of the first symptoms per Kansas law. We appreciate you helping us keep the cold and flu season spread to a minimum. Thank you!

Our prize room is one of the most beloved perks at our event. Gift cards (we will gladly accept your unused Christmas gifts, girl stuff, guy stuff, dorm room items, college apparel, and sports and concert tickets are needed. *Badr Idbeis, MD Health Care Scholarship, Sponsored by Kansas Medical Center: This is an annual scholarship award of $2,500 to two (2) Andover High School and to two (2) Andover Central High School graduates pursuing a health care career. Applicant must be a current senior at one of the two Andover High Schools and plans to enroll full-time into a 2 year or 4 year accredited college or university. A minimum cumulative 3.25 GPA from the start of their high school curriculum through completion of their 7th semester of high school education is required. To apply, click HERE.

*ACT Prep by PowerPrep at Andover High School: Carolyn Devane from PowerPrep will be at Andover High School on April 10 to present an ACT prep session from 5:45pm-9:55pm. The class includes practical and relevant information on how to increase your ACT score. It shows you how to control the test and not let it control you. The workshop covers what will be on the test and how to master test-taking techniques. This class is not a practice test! Learn general ideas about the ACT as a whole and the individual tests. General ACT info and helpful facts (ie. When should I take the ACT?) are available on the Counselor's Corner webpage. Registration is online HERE and the cost is $55.
